Breakfast With The Dogs

Weekends are the times we have breakfast with the dogs. The best types of breakfasts are when its sunny nice Los Angeles weather and we get to sit outside with the dogs.  Anze (the doxiepin) and Abby (the patterdale terrier) love when we eat breakfast with them outside so that they can sunbathe, play in the grass and hunt for bugs and lizards.  Anze and Abby help make breakfast with us, all together, in the kitchen and then we all like to go eat outside and enjoy our backyard.

Today's breakfast consisted of white rice, over easy egg with homemade pico de gallo avocado corn salsa.  It was so delicious and tasted so fresh and healthy. We made the rice in our new rice cooker! It turned out amazing.

Abby is such a cute patterdale terrier. She is the sweetest most loving little dog. She is so submissive when we call her and melts like mush in your arms when you carry her. She loves to play outside and her number one toy is her Kong Squeaker tennis balls (size small).

Anze is the most curious little dog. He absolutely loves to go outside and play.  In fact, he will even pretend like he has to "go potty outside" and wait by the door, even if he doesn't have to go potty, just so he can go play outside.  His favorite thing to do is to hunt and look for bugs and lizards.  Sometimes, he has so much fun he doesn't listen and come when it's time to come inside. But how can you get frustrated and say no to this little face..?!

So true!!! Love this!! Everyone should get the chance and spend time to have breakfast with their dogs!

Homemade Chicken Nachos

Anze and Abby's parents made homemade chicken nachos one night.  These homemade chicken nachos made the kitchen smell so good.  Anze (the doxiepin) and Abby (the patterdale terrier) are always standing in the kitchen while their parents cook and are always little beggars hoping that a piece of food will drop.  They are such good little kitchen dog helpers that their parents always let them see and smell the food after it is done cooking.

RECIPE

They were so excited to see the homemade chicken nachos that were made of tortilla chips, organic fresh cut fully cooked chicken, fully cooked black beans, white onions, and cheese.  They baked in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

The homemade salsa was made with fresh tomatoes, avocados, cilantro, red onion, lime, salt and pepper. And put in the refrigerator to chill until ready to eat.

This was the perfect meal for watching the game on TV!  Not only were the little dogs happy, but so were their doggy parents.
