Beet Brownie Recipe

Anze (the Doxiepin) and Abby's (the Patterdale Terrier) Mommy made a new beet brownie recipe. The beet brownie recipe was a total success! Also, today was the first day of Day Lights Saving Time to Spring Forward into 2015.  The clocks were pushed forward one hour and Anze and Abby's Mommy wanted to celebrate. This Sunday was a beautiful sunny day outside and Anze and Abby had such a fun doggy day outside. The house smelled so good with their new Yankee Candle "Juicy Peach" scent.

  
Anze and Abby's Mommy tried a new beet brownie recipe that turned out to be fabulous! It was amazing how good the beet brownies tasted and how moist and rich in flavor they were. And the perks of the health benefits compared to other brownie recipes couldn't be better.  This beet brownie recipe was actually pretty simple and easy! These little dogs were so proud of their Mommy! This recipe would definitely be recommended!!  THE BEET BROWNIE RECIPE is listed below: 

 
 
 
 

BEET BROWNIE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
-1/2 cup gluten free flour
-1/2 cup beet puree
-1/4 cup sugar
-1/4 cup cocoa baking powder
-1/4 cup coconut oil
-1/4 cup of chocolate chips
-4 egg whites
-1 teaspoon of vanilla
-1 teaspoon of baking powder

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Boil beets and peel the skin off them, and blend them into puree.
2) Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray 9x9 (square) baking pan with nonstick cooking spray
3) Mix in a large bowl all the dry ingredients: gluten free flour, sugar, cocoa baking powder, baking powder.
4) Add in all the wet ingredients: beet puree, coconut oil, egg whites, vanilla.
5) Stir all together until smooth and then add chocolate chips.
6) Pour the mix into the pan.
7) Bake in over at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes (or until you do the toothpick test).
8) Take out of oven and enjoy.
